Event Coverage A Bunch of Trolls Host a Show

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by TerrytheK, Sep 6, 2024.

  1. They call themselves "The Sunburg Trolls". The name is sort of tongue-in-cheek and has nothing whatsoever to do with the interwebs. It's a nod to the heavy Scandinavian heritage around the little town of Sunburg, Minnesota and the club mascot is a tubby little guy with wild hair. For about 15 years now, every Labor Day they've hosted this little get-together, growing each session to the point that this year there were well over 300 cars packed into the community center grounds. Most of 'em were O/T for this board but there were keepers in there too and I caught a few. Enjoy!

Never miss it. About 250 more cars than last year in the blast furnace.

  8. I had help! ;)
Haven't been there for a couple years. Sounds like last year was a good one to miss. Were you there this year? Would have been cool to meet up. I did spend some time yakking with a couple others that I hadn't seen in years. Fun time!
No problem, with that many cars it's pretty easy to find something you like!

Yep. Listened to my Dad talk about all the cars he owned in the 50's.

  14. Thanks guys!
Hope you were taking notes! Trust me, there will come a day when you wish you could hear him talk about that again. Being he's your Dad, I bet there are a few stories he's never told ya... ;)
Super show though - still blows my mind that there would be that many cars there. Probably doubled the population of the town.
