    Is anyone out there having problems taking the spinners off your Rocket Racing Wheels?
    The drivers side is reverse threads and you hammer right to loosen and passenger side you hammer left to loosen. I have beat on these things and nothing is coming loose. I have the little set screws backed out all the way. I am wondering if the sleeve is spinning with the spinner and if it is the spinner will never come off.

    Do they have caps? If so, pop one and remove the anti theft pin...then remove spinner.

  3. Are you sure about the direction needed to loosen them? The reverse threads (LH thread) should be on the right side of the car. I had an off topic daily beater that I put wire spoke wheels on and my lowrider homie told me to remember the 3 R's; The Red adapters with Reverse threads go on the Right side of the car. You may have only 2/3 of the R's since the hubs are probably not painted red, but the same rule applies. I never had one come loose and was driving the beater to work 400 miles a week.

    Edit: I looked up the instructions for them just now, they are very vague and no pictures which are usually helpful. It says each side is marked LH and RH, however I do not believe that is indicative of what style thread is on them, they really should have clarified which direction the spinner needs to be turned to torque them down for the LH and RH markings. Try going the opposite direction, I think you have been tightening the spinners down.

    Have you removed the set screws in the knock-offs? Just had to ask in case you were unaware of them. Regardless of what the correct installation / direction is, have you considered the previous owner mixed up everything side to side, and not necessarily in pairs, either?

    I prefer to leave out the driver and passenger description as there are plenty of right hand drive cars out there and this is an international forum;

    Right hand threads on left side of car is for internal thread caps!

    Left hand threads on left side of car is for external thread caps!

    I have no idea what wheels these are or how the hubs/caps are designed, but this rule for knock off wheels has been in place since the early days of motoring. If the OP is positive that he has externally threaded caps and that they are installed correctly, than try some penetrating oil and keep hammering!
