Cool pics, Dave...looks like a great turn-out for the show! Funny to see people building models like this now...after telling me how stupid it was 10 years ago! Any more pics???
HEMI put up his review of the show and more pics here: BOSSRIDE.com I had a great time putting on this show for everybody, but it was enough work that I don't think I'll be doing any more than once a year. I'm STILL beat!
Looks like a fun time. I'm gonna get back into models a little more than I have been lately. Hack is partially responosible for re-lighting the fire under my ***...
Thanks for the pix. Nothin like cool plastic! I've got a couple in the works, I'll post pix when there done.
Man we really should start a models section if it would be kool with "Da Man".....I have some more pics of that 31 sedan I posted the other night....looks killer.....
Some really cool stuff! I dug the Kurtis go-kart on display: Here's one of Gowjobs builds: And one his WIFE built....that's right folks, the chick is COOL: Some more favorites: And they had this crazy driver training machine, all I had was a volkswagen and a vacant lot....
All I know about that coupe is that my camera really ****s if it isn't on "macro" mode and I try and take close-ups.
[ QUOTE ] Looks like a good show. I just love this Coupe.Does anyone know anything more about it? [/ QUOTE ] I believe that it's based on a Jimmy Flintstone resin body. It's a slammer - no detail inside or underneath. Dennis Nelson (D & J Aluminum Parts) built it, and I belive he machined the exhaust stacks and wheels himself on his Shur-Line. He said he gave the "gl***" a mirror finish by shooting it with Alclad II Chrome from behind, then backing it up with a coat of black. If you check recent issues of Model Cars Magazine, you'll see an ad for Jimmy's bodies and accessories. He has a full catalog available (plus a catalog of his Dr. Flintbone X-rated figures), but I don't believe he's got a website up. Dave
I'll look for it. I've seen his stuff before.Hard to find up here. And not cheap. He did the Frankenshine resin kit,and the Divco.
Wow thats some super cool stuff there!!! That integra gave me a real laugh, someone should build one like that!

[/ QUOTE ] Keep in mind that those kits were Testors products that he designed/cast for them, and they included a lot of parts. Most of his bodies sell for $15-$20 USD.
