    Great Job.

I worked on and off, on our 54 for 16 years, before we had our first drive. I think the struggle gives things more value. Maybe our paths will cross some day. IMG_0365.JPG

  2. I should add this car is an exception to one of my personal rules. I normally groan when a see a 49-54 Chevy with hidden updates still running a straight six. But this one with the level of execution along with the long direct family history works and works well. And the fact that the work wasn't just farmed out is a huge plus. While the wording may seem to have snarky undertones I mean it as a genuine compliment

Sounds a ok to me , we all got cars from 1920s thru 2023 that are cool in their own way , I’m mostly OT but hop over to this side of the fence for real old school knowledge & developed a love so much I bought a 53 210 club coupe body to revive possibly as a gasser if not a era hot rod

  6. Thanks to fellow rodders helping me with parts I may have some oddball parts you may need. And I'll be near Clinton Arkansas for about a week in a couple months

They already have , few years ago I took boys up to Rogersville ORP & recognized the Okie Twister. I visited & you & Hooley . You both were soo nice & we still have pics of the Boys sitting in the twister from that Day you guys ran finals with my good pal Logan in orange & white 56 Chevy & beat him . He loved the sportsman ship as his battery quit in staging & 4 of us took one out of his grand pa’s 57 he drove up to watch & relay ran battery to his car . You guys are the best , now we have a solid white 2250 lb super gas NHRA 70 nova roller we revamped on & son races their regularly, if we ever get a chance I enjoy the automotive comradery. Thanks ! Flux

I remember that day but I had not put two and two together. Thanks for reminding me. Some of the best days are the ones I have spent with my car friends.

I'm thrilled for you! The car came out great, too.

I'm on the home stretch of on/off-again project and, man, it's difficult at times to be remodeling a bathroom (again!) instead of finishing the coupe.

What will occupy your time, now????

Project wise , overdue maintenance on A 55 bel air dads & 69 c10 moms bought new & the major restoration is my HS car rs/z28 69 Camaro , luckily I blowed all my late 80s pay checks at the local gmc dealer ordering GM crash manual nos parts every week for 2 years plus.
