@hrm2k definitely history on this sectioned coupe but I am not the guy who knows. Been seeing this car for decades at big shows. It's been a few different colors and it seems to be wearing a new shade of blue this year. Someone here will know more about It's history

Wheeldog57 and AVATER thanks for posting, I used to go when I lived on LI but haven't gone to any shows in the last few years. I really appreciate the way you guys posted the photos also. Looked like a great time. Maybe next year.

It was owned by the late Buddy George. He was a well known drag racer and hot rod guy. He did race this often. Along with a nail head powered Henry J. Snowman ⛄️

If you are into early hot rods, this is the show you want to attend. We went every year even when it was held on Mondays and I won the give away, Chevrolet engine one year. That's the engine I have in my Woodie. Truly a real hot rod show.

  11. Great coverage of this show, THANKS!

Buddy George was the original builder. The car was not sectioned in the traditional manner, the bottom of the body was rusted out and they trimmed and lowered down to the fenders. Buddy passed a few years ago and the car has been making the rounds.

I think that is in an old popular hotroding magazine I'll look it up when I get home from work:) did it have flames at one time? I live on Cape Cod so I'm not real far from the show I'll make it there one of these days.

Looks like a great show and cars there to suit all tastes. I recognised the sectioned 34. Buddy George was kind enough to send me some photos years ago which I hosted on my Mart's Real Hot Rods web site. RIP Buddy. (RIP the web site too!). Mart.

Thanks for posting !!! That was the best TyRods show in the past 8-10 years. My brother and I were parked right next to Larry Hook in our Deuce coupes.

  22. Thanks for the great picture show! I havent been able to make it since it was held at the Elks. It is about a 1700 mile round trip and l'm not sure the old Safari would be up to the task.

Looks like great turn out of cars. That hook roadster checks all the boxes for me.
