Hot Rods Going rate 39/40 Ford Tudor seats

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by Copperhead snake, Sep 10, 2024.

  1. Looking for the going rate to redu the seats in my 39 standard, one tail lite, the squirrels tunneled into them and packed them full of walnuts, the big boss lady say's she ain't ridin' in there with the lumpy seats and poop smell. I'd give the overall condition of the seats themselves a strong 9 out of 10 condition wise

That is like asking how long a piece of string is. What type of material you want to cover it with. Lots if pleats or custom design or do you want it to look like an old school bus. Do you want or need to sandblast and repaint the frame? This is like the rest of the car, you get what you pay for.
A friend just had front and rear seats in a 48 Chrysler limo done in leather. The bill was near $6500 for just the seats.
I get 90's Chevy truck seats done for $500

  3. ^^^^ I will second that. When I had seats done for my 53, I had estimates all over the map. Wound up using a local "word of mouth" guy that did the whole interior including the headliner for $750.00 in labor. I bought the materials. My 53 11.JPG
