  1. Fantastic for getting to see Bill and Laura again!! The park was perfect! Quiet and roomy and lots of shade. The prizes were great! The best prize was getting to see everyone and hanging out! The food was wonderful too! Next year, I gotta have Tonya get more cookies!

  2. Andy, I'm glad you got the trailer fixed and your family home safely. My old drag trailer is about done. It's been on life support. Terminal rust is gonna take it out. I noticed something flex when Chandler was helping me load the 57. At home, the left dovetail nearly broke free. Had to use a floor jack to get it back in shape to unload. Softball pile of rust on the ground..

  3. Oh Steve! When all this went down, my first thought was your trailer incident last year!! I’m happy you made it home before the dovetail broke free! Someone makes a 3.55 gear kit for our Chevy truck, and next year, I’m driving Papaw. I was going to small block it, but Lloyd pointed out all the history we have with my Dad and Papaw. I can’t cut him up to small block him. Maybe a 235 ? ;)

  4. Thank you everyone for the updates. Damn I wish I could have been there. I have been suffering a bit. My 83 year old mom is having some health problems and I have to stay close. I have kind of retired the coupe from drag racing, except for a few special events. Been a bit of depression here. But, enough about that. So glad this event was a total success. The post's definitely lifted my spirits. Thank you my brothers of hot rods.

On my calendar. Third try might be the charm. lol Sorry I couldn't be there.

  6. All good man.

  7. Laura & I made it home about 7 this evening safely. I still have a smile on my face from all the fellowship & the cars. It was so very great to see everybody again & hopefully the folks that didn't make it this year will be able to next year.

@SS327 Hi Denny....Get the Poncho done so you can bring it next year.

Yeah I backed into a pole late at night in a heavy rain storm on a mountain road, but I was NOT pulling the trailer .

Our cabin was GREAT, but I could never get the trailer up to it anyway, so I was so grateful to be able to leave it at the park for the whole show. We will be booking the same cabin for next year!

    God Bless
    Bill

    @Bill's Auto Works
Bill I may be mistaken but I think I met you at SEMA 2016 in Vegas. Did you haul a car out for the show? I think we met at the Stewart Warner
    show booth.
You have no reason to remember this and I may be mistaken. I posted pictures of HAMB
friendly stuff on here and we connected by PM or texts for a meetup.

Sorry Lloyd don’t mean to hijack the Lloydfest thread . Bill I guess it was 2015 not 2016.
Here is a pic of my fat ass, I wore my Jalopy Journal t-shirt and tried to get into press events claiming I lost my credentials, didn’t work IMG_4707.png

  12. Lol all good Rusty! I like your girlfriend, she's kinda hot :D

  13. Hey Rusty,

YES I do remember you! (the picture helped:p) It was indeed 2015 & yes I did take the Stewart-Warner display vehicle from Texas to the show & back afterwards . As I recall Stacey David was signing autographs in their booth....He was hilarious.

You might want to start planning to attend Lloydfest 2025, you will not be disappointed with the folks & the cars.

    God Bless

It’s good to know I’m not loosing what’s left of my mind. Yes Stacy David was signing stuff at SW booth I have a picture with him somewhere, I keep track of the important pictures like the one with Christy Lee;).
Glad to hear your wife is feeling better and hope the road to recovery continues.

I tweaked it Sunday and I was really worried. When I went to PT Monday she told me to take it easy and listen to my shoulder for a couple of days. It is better today. I go back to the doctor Friday. I believe I will be going back to work on Monday.

  19. @enloe - Your name came up a couple times. All good, of course! See you next year.
A HAMBer who will remain unnamed bet against my valve cover racer. He didn't believe in Oldsmobile power!

  20. Just a thanks to those that helped me. The I-64 motorplex accidentally got on there, and i actually own the upholstery shop, but it shouldn't have been on there, guess it was a mistake from last year. some of you I might have missed because I kept a list of monetary donations and not items sent, @fastcar1953 donated a bar stool that was won by @ROADSTER1927 , and @INVISIBLEKID donated a figurine from the 30's that was won by @chevy57dude ...
I made sure that everyone that attended got free shirts thanks to you. Nothing was sold, everything was free, all thanks to your help. There are some 2X and 3X shirts left, maybe 7 or 8 shirts total. Pay me for shipping and you can have them. Claim them here, not by private message, first come first serve. Thanks again everybody!! 20240911_104454.jpg 20240911_104430.jpg

  21. On another note, if I owed you a shirt from last year, that was screwed up because of my divorce, it's in the mail. Keep an eye out.

  22. Hey Brother, I’ll take a 2x, let me know what it cost and I’ll Venmo you.

  25. All I have is 2X and 3X, plus 1 that is 4X. I gave the shirts to the attendees, and the sponsored it got their name on the back. I apologize

  26. $10 will cover it, everything I've shipped in the past 2 days has been right at $9

  27. @Lloyd's paint & glass I would happily take a 2X , I can send you payment by paypal. Of course charge me whatever you want! lol
