Yikes . . . that is a bad day at the track for sure . . . but nobody was hurt. Mechanical things can always be recreated - humans, not so much!
Well 51 more getups till Eagle again, still wrenchin a little an doin maintenance gonna be rough without Jack there with me to argue with, but such is life.
I see no rubber streaks in the street. Neighbors must hate you think your nuts. If I was there would come running to see what you doing. Will have to post pictures of my driveway ( burn out box )..
Uh Mike I live in a HOA and we have to maintain our own streets so no burn out box but I do like to give em and ear full every now and then..............
Cool video Carl I have sympathy for every creaking joint and aching bone getting into and out of the FED. They are not an easy thing to get into. Cheers, Harv
Yea Harv its getting worse as I get older hope to be still running her till I'm 90 but it sure is getting to be a struggle these 80 year ol bones and fat ain't what they used to be. Need a younger skinnier driver that's why I'm shifting most of the driving duties to a friend of mines son a 21 year old 140 lb.er
I'll try as long as long as there's a breath in me Dale, but the young guy is80 lbs lighter than me I figure thas 3 tenths maybe more!!
Ya ain't running any water in that thing. Why not just mill a pair out of solid bar stock or cast a set of your own? Just saying you have the technology....... I know Carl, it's easy for me to say.
Na Dale it was too bad and cracked in three other places. Got an old Weiand 8ba from a buddy of mine for free and all I had to do was hog it out to match my other head, new Cometic gasket and off we go. Next step is to order some 2" blanks and make my own B&B heads.........
Well this years Eagle Field drags are now history. Got back and are still tired, these ol bones ain't quite what they used to be! In a coupla days I should have a video of this year, as soon as I get all the pics I'll get workin on it. Car ran well didn't win but that happens so till next year "Keep em between the whites and stay off the barricade's"
