Very nice and good to see you've owned it so long. I've had mine 25 years and drive it everyday

Old Blue ain't slick, but I have been driving it over 45 years, '65 w/'66 grille, 390-C6. I do also have a short wide '66, all original, 6 cyl- 3-speed. Love those trucks ! IMG_7902.JPG IMG_7898.JPG

I love these old Fords. I sold my project and of course I regret that. My advice; if you want a short bed, but a short bed. Still plenty of them out there. I found out paying somebody else to (what looks like a fairly simple job) shorten one, is outrageously expensive.

I know I'm late to the party, but I really dig those tires! Are they Cokers, what size? And are the white walls real or Port-a-walls? Looks great either way!

    Hello,

This two-toned F-100 is nicely finished. The paint is very good and the body is smooth and shiny. It looks well taken care of and built up. My wife and I have a thing for this truck. We had seen it driving around the coastal cities when we go for our weekly drives to see the ocean and get back to nature. It gives us time to think and feel good about seeing the deep blue ocean, the bright sun and even on a foggy day, the ocean gives off a vibe that makes anyone absorb what nature can show and give back.

Lately, we have seen the colorful truck parked in an industrial area. The for sale sign was on the rear window and continued to be there for quite some time. so, every time we took a short cut through the industrial area, the blue and white Ford f-100 truck stuck out from its parking place.

It is/was a wonder that no one bought the truck. My wife felt badly about it being for sale for so long and she had hopes it would sell soon. Old trucks and cars are her thing since being a 20 something, driving around in a 327 powered 1940 Ford Sedan Delivery project we finally got finished after spending almost a whole Summer trying to get this project hot rod running and handling correctly.

Once it was finished by us and the expert friend in mechanics of the whole suspension and front end. It was a joy to drive. And drive, she did. Almost daily and most weekends if she had to go on errands or visit a friend. So, since that time of being a daily, active hot rod driver, she has had the inkling to spot any old car we see on the road. Her identifying is still in the question stages, but at least she spots them a long way away and says…”there is an old hot rod up ahead…” YRMV

    Note:
At the latest sighting, the for sale sign was taken off and in the direct sunlight, it seems to have been on the receiving end of a nice whole car detailing, again... It is a very nice old truck.

'64. I used to know a guy who had one. He'd always say it was the last year for the straight axle front end.
I'm not much for lowered pickup's but that's a nice truck.
