Looks like this might be the same girl/'35 Coupe in Seal Beach from the flood of '38? We use to ski the LA river, Marine Stadium and the hot water channel in Seal before work 2 or 3 times a week back in the 70s-80s. Saw a VW floating down the river once.
When I was 5 in 1961 the last Red Car route still active, and soon to be gone, was Long Beach to LA. My mom's aunt and uncle lived on Union Ave in LA and my mom would take me to the station in LB, pin a note to my shirt, seat me next to the conductor and my A&U would pick me up and we'd go exploring for a few days. Rent row boats at MacArther park, ride the old Angles Flight, lotta fun. Different era. Long Beach, CA. Old postcard of the park in the early 60's.
Even thou guys hated them 55-56 exhaust manifolds they made SBC’s fit in a lot of cars easily. I think GM brought similar ones out and Dorman sells them.
That's pretty funny. Several business's in Seal Beach have that flooded pic hanging inside. Always assumed that's where the pic came from.
