I'm looking for an Upper Steering column Bearing Assembly for a 1954 Ford crestline. I can't seem to find ny on line. Bearing is missing -no idea what part number is. Has anyone installed an aftermarket steering column in this model and if so, what length did you use? I'm trrgusenying to mate it up to a Borgsen power steering gear.
    Thanks for any help,

Can you get measurements from where it goes? ID, OD, thickness. Then a bearing listing might get you there. Or something that might work with some mods to the column.

  4. Delrin is a material that can be used to replace a low pressure bearing/bushing. I used it as an upper bushing for the steering column I built for my 29 cabriolet. It can be bought in many forms. I got a solid tube section that only needed a hole in the center and cutting the drilled piece to the length needed.

But that part is just the sleeve, not the bearing itself
