damn this car is easy on the eye..attention to detail!!! absolutely no way I could drill that many holes in a visor and end up with them all in line... it just amazes me when a car like this is at a show, and people glance at it and keep walking.... I'm like did you see how he did this or that... Ah no....anyway... good job buddy, nice car...( I say buddy whether you like me or not) you do some amazing work....

A common thing in Canada is to adopt British slogans/ terms. My guess the poster lives in the east

Do you know a small block Chevy V8 is nearly a bolt in deal on a 1941 - 1954 Chevy if you have the right transmission? You can keep the original 3 speed trans and torque tube drive line with a 265 because it does not have enough torque to tear everything up. Where with a 350 you would likely break something every few weeks, or have to spend a lot of time and money swapping out the whole drive line.

If you can find a good deal on a forties or early fifties Chev it could make a cool early style rod . The kind of car you can have a lot of fun with for not much money as long as you don't want to go crazy fast.

Know a guy that raced a stocker 56 Chevy with a 265. It was a screamer.

Update: the donor vehicle has been selected, it’s either a 30 or 31 model AA closed cab truck, former city of new Westminster tow truck, has lots of rust so sorting that is priority 1, and finishing up my 62 and a couple others, so waiting a bit before starting the engine swap on that one, I will probably start a page on ideas for how a traditional late 50s (circa 1958) 31 pickup fender less with a 32 grille would have looked. To all the people who were helpful thank you,

  16. Id happily contribute to that thread. I even have vintage models
From that era I can post pics of.

And that definitely sounds like a proper use of the engine

    New Westminster?
I take it you are in the Vancouver, B.C. area.
If so, there is a lot of Hamb expertise just south of you.

I've got an original Edelbrock 3x2 intake for the 265 if you want to go that route.
