Hot Rods Quick Change ?

Can anyone identify this rear end or know anything about it. Not a very good picture that was copied from internet. I don’t have no clue!

 

Fake cover on a modern rearend.

 

It seems to belong over on the fake valve cover thread on the OT site.

 

Well, that's not very good.

 

I ***umed that was probably fake but the braided steel lines I have never seen.

 

Just a heads up...

While yes, you do not...have a Quick Change rear axle ***embly, there are however, covers that have pumps on them that circulate axle oil around the gear sets to verify that everything is well lubed.

Maybe that's what the previous owner was trying to simulate.

What we do know is FAKE!!!!!

 

Differential cooler pump. Runs lube through a heat exchanger. This pic is an OT sports car.


Seems like I've seen these on NASCAR stuff as well.
