When I was vending at NSRA shows from about 94 to 2012 around the country there was vendor selling basically all kinds of stainless fasteners for 32 Fords. One of his products was stainless ****on head front bumper iron bolts drilled for the front splash apron. Anyone remember him?

If someone doesn't come up with the name you are looking for, you could try McMaster-Carr. They have nearly all sizes of SS ****on head bolts and usually at a better price.

Deuce Factory comes to mind. They carried a lot of stainless suspension components and hardware. Maybe Garner Westcott?

What's wrong with ****on head bolts? They been around since I built my first deuce highboy roadster in the early 70's. Used them on the spreader bars and gas tank bolts. Been using for selected applications ever since.

Perseverance paid off. I found his catalogue hiding in the back of a desk drawer. The company was simply called L.S. and they were from Irvin PA. Googled them and nothing. I'm always a little nervous to call an old phone number. Maybe I'll send a letter and see if comes back or I get a reply. They made quite a few different parts but their main game was stainless hood springs. I'll give a letter a try.

Made some headway. A customer in PA traced him thru a government office and has sent me his contact information. He still lists the address on his catalogue as his primary address. The original phone number on his catalogue is good but is now a fax number. Next I tried his E-mail and it bounced. I have 2 phone numbers , cell and land line I'll try next week. I know he's still in business probably as a hobby as I found a company that gets their SS Chevy hood springs from him. They have no personal interaction, everything is done by mail. I sent him a letter on Sept 21 with my contact information but no response so far? I can be persistent but gotta tread lightly as according to his information sheet he's a practicing attorney!

Sent Ray at Roadster Supply a picture of the catalogue page showing the parts and explained them to him. He's always expanding his inventory and has the connections to make things happen quickly. Whether he thinks it's a good idea or not I will know by next week. I'll report back.
