B'ville? Is that Burnsville? I remember back in 70's some huge dump out that way where they were filling in this swampy area. Then I think a town near there was Savage? It was where they had a sign about a famous race horse The home of Dan Patch if I remember right. Anyway, snow in October! Looks a cold halloween for you this year. Gary 4T950 Chevy Guy
J found some vintage snow tires with studs in em... were gonna take the 34 out on the lake as soon as it freezes over. we got some snow here too... i guess its supposed to snow today- Tuck
It's the begining of Drifting season... You know it's slipprey out when my 4400 lb 116 HP '55 Ply spins the tires in 3rd gear from a 15 MPH roll. People see the old boat start to drift, and they get a panicked look on their faces
LMAO @ Minnesnowta, SNOW is a 4 letter word, ya know. Havn't seen that nasty white stuff since movin down to beautiful sunny Alleybama from Indiana 3 yrs ago. Minnesota, home of the original first drifters.
Then move. I did, and have have never regretted it. Plain and simple, Snow ****s. Snow, salt and rust all go together.
So you were snowed in huh. We missed you at the Pileup this year. It just wasn't the same me and Eyeball drinking all the Lonestar by ourselves.
I guess that all depends on the lake and the temps and the ice thickness. You can play it safe or just play dumb and end up like them... but I kid you not, when we have enough ice on the lake I'm doing DONUTS out there in my 34... U TUBE style... thats something only us Minnesotans can appreciate... It makes us hard... the rest of you guys down south complaining about the cold weather... haha... I love snow. but each year its like wading in the lake, you have to get your balls wet first and after they adjust to the temps the rest is easy... you just jump in. Tuck
Tuck : .. "thats something only us Minnesotans can appreciate... " .. You forgot us Scandinavians ... We kinda appreciate it too In exchange for the Snow in Winter , We have the pleasure of seeing the Sun for about 20hours aday at summertime Klaz
klaz I thought you knew all of us Minnesotans were pretty much Scandinavian too haha... I'm Scandinavian... I've been to Scandinavia- Norway was my favorite. We stayed in a ski chalet on a mountain lake... there was a ski team there all girls about my age training... They couldn't speak English that well haha... but damn what I wouldn't have given to speak fluent norweigen... They were inviting us to go swimming with them... To see them jumping in the lake in bikini's after some time in the sauna made NORWAY that much more beautiful for me... I mean you have Fjords, waterfalls and hot girls in bikinis jumping in a ice cold lake??? It made me proud to be Norse. Tuck
Let it snow, let it snow... ****- Klaz, you and Tuck are only about 3800 miles (6200 km) apart as the crow flies... My Dad grew up on Rogers Lake in CT, and he and all his buddies would buy model As and cut them down and make ice racers out of them.
Tuck & Nosurf :Because of all the scandinavians that imigrated to the USA,( Minnesota ! )( in the Early years of the 19Century ) , there are more Norwegians in the US than there is over here .. Glad to see that you all still have fun in the Snow .. COOL .. Klaz
I don't really care for the cold, but I thouroughly enjoy going 6 months without seeing a spider, scorpion, or snake hiding on, in, next to, within 10 feet, or even in the same neighborhood as whatever I'm working on or scrounging through...
