A young Troy Ruttman with track roadster model; probably made by a fan. Because he was big for his age Ruttman was able to race when he was only 15 years passing himself off as being 21. Carrying this guise into his professional career he was already a three year veteran of the Indianapolis 500 when he won the 1952 race. His true age came out soon after and he remains to this day the youngest driver to ever win the race.
