Ideas for 36 Dodge project

i know your evedently all anti being in proportion but just for ****s and giggles....

 

here is another but i didt pull the front wheels as far back.




and here it is with about a 2 inch give or take section. and the bed lowered too

 

I'm not snobby--I just have a different taste than you. I like cars that look driveable, not broken. I don't get the whole broken look, especially in rods (kustoms that lay frame can be cool...)

If you're doing it just for style, something to park at a show, then I think it looks out of proportion rather than mean or evil. The best looking version on here yet is mistermuscles stretch job--it's as cartoony as what you're doing with the chop job, but the proportions are better. And it bucks current trends, rather than following them.

 

Tim- thanks for pulling that frontend in. Wow that looks so much better. I really like Cab Rods. And this one is no exception except the frontend.
**** in the front and chop the top. Crack open a case and call it a day.

 

If you are more than 12 inches tall, I would p*** on the sectioning.

what amuses me about guys like little Wicked Death Chop here, is the fact that they say stuff like that online, but in person they would never give such an abrasive opinion.

Hey Scott... I like that your open to others ideas on the project. I'll agree with you and Hiboy. That front end needs pulled in as per the photoshop. Now my 2 cents. I'd ditch the zoomies as well and the 1980's Jeg's air cleaners... I hate those things!!!

Can someone photo chop a different set of headers on the shortened nose version? Maybe add a *****in' 1960's styled Greer/Black/Purdhome kinda scoop in place of those aircleaners?

I hate those aircleaners too , but they came with the old weiand setup, and they keep the dirt out of the carbs while its in the garage. I have an old 60's g***er scoop for it. The zoomies are staying though.

It's a good possibility that i may shorten the frontend up a bit. time will tell on that one.

how long have you been around nor cal ********? i played in a bunch of bands a few years ago and have probably met you already. i toured with the bury your dead guys and have toured with hoods and other bands. i was in a band called stabbed in the throat. used to hang out at westcoast worldwide all the time. so we do have something in common. haha. plus i am straight edge for 10 years strong. hahaha. but i still think your truck is ugly and would tell you that in real life. but we are from the same backround.

i do think its cool that dudes from underground movement things like skateboarding and ******** music somehow come into old cars and bikes and building stuff. we should kick it scott.
