Event Coverage Great news! Carrots at Jefferson! oops My mistake. ice cream stand being sarcastic

I dropped my rig off at my stalls at Jefferson today for set up, I am at WX105 to 111 in the back of the white field by the back gate. Well as I was leaving, I notice in place of where my favorite Big Bar trailer sat next to the gate going into the white field is a Fresh Carrot stand! As the sign said "A Healthy Alternative" lol I guess I will stick to Garys burgers smothered in pickle relish and Garys favorite chopped onions! Hoping for a couple great sales days this weekend, turned 69 last week and I have collected way more stuff than I will ever need. Time to pass it on so someone else can watch it collect dust. lol. Lol, Nope there is an actual food vender selling carrots. Sadly, the Big Bar outfit closed up about a year ago. Last I knew the business was for sale, but I don't think there has been any takers. It is too bad, having a Big Bar {or three} was a Jefferson tradition

 

The building is still for sale but they did drop the price $34,000. it is being advertised as buildings only now and only reference is it housed the big bar. In the ad it also states no business, just lot and building. No longer saying it comes with the license so i believe they no longer have it. At one time there was an option to buy the trailers if you brought the business but that offer is no longer listed also and when I drove past last month the trailers are gone, just the real estate. the building still has the walk in coolers but all the stainless steel upright freezers I saw are all gone now too and i believe those were the freezers at the local auction house to them last month.

 

Ya know, I eaten many a carrot.
I’ve also never craved for a carrot.
But I have drank carrot juice and loved it. But don’t crave for it now.

It’s a long drive, but maybe I can talk someone into heading that way and open up a fig bar.
Damned carrot folk can’t get a monopoly!

How many carrots did you guys buy? I mean how many car parts did you guys buy at the swap meet today? if you didn't buy any, maybe you should have brought some carrots so you could see all the deals out there.

Oh well I spoke to soon, went through this morning and they had more banners up, It is actually an ice cream stand, The carrot sign was actually abet of sarcastic advertisement. In other words if you want healthy eat carrots otherwise eat our ice cream. My old brain is fading fast. lol

 

what is the new ice cream vendor called? are they doing known brands or is it homemade,etc? I am wondering if it is the 1 partner from before? lot of the equipment is gone out of the big bar building that was there when i first saw it helps me think that. the one partner wanted to continue on but the other bailed on him, might be him starting over on his own on a smaller scale? so many questions and i cannot get to jefferson today.

They appeared to be doing a lot of business based upon the number of people I saw walking around with an ice cream dish on one hand, and a spoon in the other.

LOL Don. Not necessarily true. The wife had some carrots get moldy in the crisper...and I still didn't eat them.
