Still wiring headlights and taillights, but thought this was a cool pic.

I got headlights, taillights and brake lights finished up today.

My brother has been busy doing getting his high school 57 back on the road with a fresh 327 backed by a Tremec 5 speed. The car was raced in the 60s then he put it back on the street in the late 70's. It is still wearing the same paint and interior from when he built it 45+ years ago. We both need to get the hoods back on, but it was good to have the cars out tonight and the list of loose ends getting shorter.

Working around the car, checking things off.

    Rear shocks installed
    Brake drum retainers installed
Clutch and Brake pedal return springs
Sealed up a leaky dipstick boss
Replaced the leaking plastic oil pressure line with copper
Installed the gas tank sender cover plate
Installing the rubber cord into the tack strip is a tedious job...

Was hoping or would like more information on the "bolt in insert" ? Trying to mentally figure it out ?

Stunning hot rod. It will be a shining star at the ROC. Looking forward to seeing it. Just did a quick look at the 10 day forecast for Bartlesville and it looks like the weather is your friend.

Good thing there’s no paint on the fenders cause your tires would burn it off.

Well this happened last Saturday afternoon on the way back from Woolaroc. It looks like it started with a dropped valve keeper and escalated quickly from there. It broke a lifter which then took out the cam and block 20241019_112920.jpg 20241019_135624.jpg 20241019_151030.jpg 20241019_145139.jpg 20241019_145143.jpg 20241019_144404.jpg 20241019_151045.jpg 20241019_174136.jpg 20241019_164038.jpg
