21 years and counting... I wonder if the refrigerator would even work if I turned it on.....

When I worked in the Depot machine shop under the Army's Projection Transition Program before I finished my tour there an old, non working refrigerator that was used to store all the arc welding rods in. The shop foreman said it was to keep them out of the light. But I doubt that @Moriarity uses much in the way of stick rods. My guess is that he is more of a Tig or Mig guy.

He probably could use the fridge to keep the paint and fiberglass hardners fresh.

Or maybe some beer so he could offer a pint to a mate from across the pond if they come to view Mark's collection?

In the 70s my spinster aunt bought a mobile home to use as a storage unit (she had Moriarity kind of money). Never had electric so the appliances were never hooked up. Fast forward to 2004 and my refrigerator went out. I got the harvest gold General Electric unit out of that trailer. Still had the doors taped shut. Worked like a charm. At my girlfriends insistence we replaced the fridge this spring because it didn't self defrost. Still works like a charm for the guy I gave it to.

My point? The fridge will probably work in 40 years when your family sells the house.

I thought the city was turning the place into an official museum after Mark’s untimely demise?

  10. One of my goals is to meet Mark in person, if I get the see his collection it’s a bonus. I’ve only messaged him through the H.A.M.B. but he is a hell of a nice guy!
