Hello fellow classic car enthusiasts I am a new member, currently I own a 1959 Chevy short bed big window Fleetside Apache and a 1939 Master Deluxe 2 door sedan. I am in search of side mount fenders with the spare tire mount and wheel cover, prefer both left & right sides but one side will do if both sides are not available. Also looking the banjo steering wheel. Angel
Welcome to the HAMB from the PNW. No offense @Angel De Dios but pictures would help us out with what you’re talking about.
Apparently the side mount was a rare woodie accessory for the passenger side only. If you are able to find one you could probably duplicate it for the drivers side.
Are you looking for these parts for just one or both of the vehicles listed in your first post? Oh . . . As already mentioned, we love pictures!
Only factory installed on woodies from what I've heard also so good luck with that search. Here's some pictures I saved of one that was for sale some years back. I think there's a difference in the hood on that side too.
Some more photos of one I saw at Jefferson in 2006. Not a woodie but assume that's where parts came from. Notice the difference in hood, can only assume it was hinged so you didn't drag hood side on backside of spare on the way up.
Maybe consider finding a pair of junk 37/38 Buick front fenders. Cut the wheel wells out of them and weld them into the Chev fenders. Might have to shorten the wells a bit certainly look different.
The fender wells for a spare wouldn't be that tough to fabricate, but modifying the hood so it can open without taking the spare tires off will be a huge challenge!
