Folks Of Interest Any Confirmation on Groucho?

Sad news. RIP

 

John never really held on to anything for long. Yes the blue Vette he had for sometime, but even when completed, if the right guy waved enough cash it would have been gone. Even though he build it as his dream Vette since his teens.

 

I met Groucho a few times in passing through carshows. This really sucks. Man were getting old.

God Speed Groucho...

 

When I heard Groucho had passed it was like getting punched in the gut...that has been happening way to often. The old guard of the HAMB is passing.

I didn't know him personally but I wish that I had. He was only 8 years older than I am now. It makes you realize that life is short and tomorrow is not promised to any of us.

My thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends.

So sorry to hear about Groucho. He was one of the HAMBers that has been around this place forever. I'll miss his posts and seeing his cool creations, as well as his "grouchy" side.
My deepest condolences to all of his family and friends. He will be missed. Vaya con Dios, Amigo..........E

Last night in Burbank Ca. where John would hang out on a Friday night, no matter which way I turned this kept coming up. “Did you hear about Groucho?”

 

He was a fixture around here it seemed. Condolences to his family and friends.
That "Green Meanie" '32 sedan in post #50 by @HEMI32 was actually here in MN for awhile several years ago, had no idea that Groucho had it. Super cool. The man had great taste in cars!

I went to the Endless Summer Cruisin in OC MD this weekend and saw this die cast for sale at the swap meet area at the convention center. Made me think of Groucho. RIP

 

damn, RIP Groucho. Ive been to his place a number of times in the past, always fun to bullshit with. Theres a Hot Rod magazine cover with his vette lined up against someone else, cant remember who. Great photo.
