Hah, I had one, sold it to a friend for I *think* $150, after I used it for about 20 years. I replaced it with a more modern large L shape desk, and use cabinets underneath. Those things are a back killer to move. Prices seem to be going up on them as vintage items are in vogue...go figure...
No not a collector but I have one that has a beautiful coating of course gray metallic Imron on it inside and out in my home office.
I've got two next to each other to make a kind of long island of desks in my office, with a little free standing Steelcase set of drawers at one end. I had to use spacers under the one I usually sit at to get the height right, it was too short otherwise and the feet don't adjust. I really do like them though. Got 2 pieces for free out of a building my parents were remodeling and the third one I bought at a thrift store for 15 bucks. I'm also a big fan of stamped steel cabinets. Can't see them great in these pics but they're the only ones I have handy.
A pair of creepers works good for moving these things around, talk about heavy at least mine was thirty years ago.
This one is pretty plain but in really good shape. https://www.facebook.com/marketplac...h&referral_code=null&referral_story_type=post I buy a lot of cabinets from this guy.
