Wasn't sure whether to place this in the cl***ies or here. Anyway, can anyone in Denver refer me to someone local who can CAD the designs for a part that a customer wants to have laser or water cut? This is a somewhat complex part and therefore I'm looking for someone who is a professional CAD person who knows what they're doing. Needs to be local so we can explain in person the drawings we already have marked out on paper. I like the idea of going with personal/professional references from fellow HAMBers rather than play around w/ the big yellow book or random searches.

You/they can pm me; call at 303.949.3623 or email at hank@hanksvillehotrods.com. Thx.

PS Ryan/Kevin, sorry if this is in the wrong place.

  2. If you need just an outline for a CNC waterjet or laser-cut part how complicated can it be ? I've done a lot of that stuff.

  3. Johnny's da man on CAD. That's coming from a 17 year (not 17 yr old) CAD guy.

I dunno, it's more complicated than my non-CAD-capable self can do. That's why I'm asking for help.

If you can wait until next summer I'll be out there. :D I've done plenty that has been converted to water jet. Different water jet guys like things certain ways I've noticed also. In the end, it needs to be a DXF file so it can be transferred into the water jet.

I've been doin' CAD work for over 20 years. There's not a lot of things I do, that isn't done over the internet. At this point however, I don't have 3-D capabilities................
