Interesting to see '53 trucks on the same ***embly line as p***enger cars. I never would have thought that would be the case.

A Shasta travel trailer towed by a 55 Ford wagon, very close to what we had when I was a kid. We had a 57 Ford wagon and pulled a Shasta trailer (with the wings on the back) all over the west before my Dad p***ed. He had lung cancer and wanted to do some traveling before he died. The 312 in the wagon expired (dropped an exhaust valve) and we ended up finishing the trip in a 63 Galaxie still pulling the trailer. Rebuilt the 312 in the wagon and was my car for part of high school. Thanks for the memory! Mark.

The 50th anniversary of the Model T is shown being celebrated at the Ford plant in Mahwah in 1958.

Another good reason to dislike those Chevy's.

It's a safe bet the driver wasn't on their phone though. Love this thread!

And an additional reminder of life in the past.......a radio and TV repair shop. Yeah, I know radio shops are big time now........just listen to their work vibrating your windows as they drive by!

Man, am I the only one that does not like fender skirts? I like to see the wheels on cars, I think many cars produced over the years and still today have ugly wheel wells. Most of the cl***ic car designs that have stood the test of time have had open wheel wells where you can see the rear wheels. Just my opinion! I know, opening a can of worms! Mark

I agree Mark, although I like skirts sooooo much more than those ugly continental kits that destroy the look of the car for me. They remind me of a big woman with a kid balanced on her ****.
I know, not PC, I probably hurt someone's feelings.
