Damn torque converter bolt stripped out of the converter. Any suggestions? Thinking of trying to chase the threads. Not sure the flex plate hole is big enough. 330 Hemi with a 727 Torqueflite.
Should be 5/16" fine. Carefully clean out what's left of threads with drill bit or small Dremel bit, and re-tap with 3/8" fine tap. Un- bolt converter and rotate for clearance to open hole, or leave in place and, tap , and hit with counter sink bit lightly.
