I have been chipping away at my long term hotrod project and am starting to wire it. It's set up for 12 volts but the generator I have came off another engine I had and it dawned on me that I don't know if it's 6 volts or 12 volts. Anyway to determine visually? It has a cover over it so i'd have to take it off the car and apart to see if it's marked anywhere. Hoping to avoid dismantling it.
    Any ideas?
    Thanks!

Pull a light bulb off of the car and see if it's 12 or 6 volt. Otherwise take the cover off of it and it should be stamped on the case somewhere.

No lights on car yet it's been built up from parts, I guess it's take it off and look for a stamping...
