The roof on some of those designs remind me of this Lincoln I saw at Bonneville a number of years ago ...
There were two cars at this estate, one was my four door and my uncle purchased a 2 door as well. When we drug the cars home there were boxes of parts and these were in there. I originally planned to run the set of smooth skirts I also have, however one of the mounting hooks were broken off at the base of the skirt. I’ve yet to see another set of these. But the photo you shared looks identical, unfortunately I’m not sure which car these were on or if maybe they were a swap meet purchase that never made it onto the car
Was trying to work out what they’d used for the roof then found out it was a one year only body style 1949.
She got 'er bum on yer plate! Why have I never noticed the paint/scallops above the tail lights? Neat!
Just so ya know, That's Fog not Blowby! Picture taken & now owned by @CHITOWN 29A on his way to work.
Thank you. You probably didn't notice them because they are not there any more. This is an old pic of my Merc. We will be putting on fresh suede this winter. Something like that will be going back on.
Couple from a small town show this weekend, about 400 cars though....my '49 won "best '50-'59" which made me laugh. The announcer said it was good enough that they skipped it up a grade...
