Thanks! Since those pics. I put some bent spoke Kelsey Hayes Wheels on it and reupholstered the seat. I also put a 39 trans in it with the Clings adapter, what a difference. More recent pic

    Cool!

  6. Super nice car man! I would like to get a 39 trans in mine. I’ve got a couple crusty ones I’ve been holding on to, might be time to go thru one.

Thank you! I really like the 39 in mine. My buddy just rebuilt one and put one in a 31 Tudor sedan and he also likes it. Originally he was going to put a Mitchell one in and the wait was 9 months to year for there trans, but didn't want to wait.

  8. Picked up this intake. Looks like it’s been modified a little but I still like it. IMG_8974.jpeg IMG_8973.jpeg

    Awesome.

I used to kinda poo poo the bangers, but after going to the Pinetree Jamboree and seeing all the banger powered As rip down the 1/8 mile all day, getting loads of passes, and having an absolute BLAST, I changed my tune.

    Now I need one too!

  12. Yeah, I love this little thing! I still plan to finish my Av8 though.

  13. Stumbled across this old thing this weekend. I’ve been wanting to try my hand at assembling a motor so maybe this is the one! I hate everyone paying to get Babbitt work done in there area? IMG_9048.jpeg IMG_9042.jpeg

I would run a Model head to get rid of that 3 bolt water pump. The 3 bolt water pumps are getting hard to find. Of course that includes speed heads built for the Model A. If you run a stock Model A head there are a couple of water passages that need to be plugged. Be careful there are two 3 bolt water pumps. The '32 is longer and is what you need in a Model A. The '33-34 is shorter due to the sloped radiator (see first attached picture). I have also attached a photo of a nice looking engine that I saw at a show.

  17. It came with this pump and adapter. Unsure on if I will use it or not. image.jpg

My car has 6.0 head touring cam and overdrive. It'll go down the freeway just below 70 @ 160 degrees water temp all day long. I'm going to toss a 6.5 head and Stromberg 97 on it until I finish my flathead B - Brierley 7:1 head his Winfield R1 cam, cross drilled C crank Zipper electronic ignition. Then onto my Rutherford OHV restoration project.

  19. How are you going to mount your fan? I hope you are not planning on an electric one.

  20. I would not buy the parts I’m showing to use an electric fan. I been a tool maker since I was 20 that’s almost 30 years in the trade now, I can probably figure a fan mount. That being said again if I wanted all shiny billet stuff I would make it myself. I’m a long way from needing a fan just yet.

  21. I always liked the fan at the end of the water pump shaft on a banger.
