Remember the Calgon bath soap commercials from the late 80's where the tag line was....... "Calgon, take me away".
What would we do without hot rods to make life bearable!

Speaking of... I put an Eddie Meyer intake on my model a earlier this year:

I didn't want to run the heat exchanger cuz they are ugly and the intake is so damned pretty. Problem is, in weather under 90-degrees it runs like shit and stumbles. But over 90-degrees? Holy shit man... It's runs hard.

So all this goes down and I want time in the model-a to clear my head, right? The temps dropped out of the 100s and into the 70s this week. FML.

Where is it now If? If I recall correctly it came to the UK many years ago. It was resurrected, maybe 10 years ago, and rebuilt. Lots of info online about it. Not sure of its whereabouts today.

Really cool article. I had heard the story from the other side from a British buddy when it was brought over. It was just redone and in the new hopup #8. It was ahead of its time in the uk blasting around London

That Eddie Meyer Intake is nifty sweet.
Where I come from, the fix for a wreck is to find the right replacement.
    Yes I am a parent. :)
My nights are often spent thinking of ways to manage the give and take.
If I may,,, How are the Buddies and Miller since the wreck?
Of course we all appreciate the rewrite.

I hope Miller is Ok? (But could have been worse?) Went looking to see if there was any other meantion, but couldn't find one.

The Coffee Grinder is a cool thing, I guess the rear wheel placement is a result of the later spring behind diff?

That image for some reason reminds me of box art from early sixties 1/32nd scale kits.

The first time I saw this in print in the UK was in the highly respected magazine Car while The Coffee Grinder was based in London. Until then hot rods were almost totally limited to Monogram kits and 77 Sunset Strip.
