This used to be my go to for everything; anyone remember when we had topics like, "do catfish make croaking sounds?" I've definitely missed having anything close to relevant to post here for a long time (if I ever did).
Anyways, I stepped in it again. Looking forward to seeing how the HAMB has evolved. Here's a pathetically limited sneak peek of a pretty big change in my project lineup, with more to come in the next few weeks.
Thanks to my very good friend @lucky for harassing me for years to have fun again.

Catfish do indeed make croaking sounds. Smaller young catfish croak loudly.
Channels tend to croak even when fairly large.
Young blues croak but seem to quiet down the larger they are.
Honestly I have never heard a large flathead croak but that does not mean they can’t.

I’ve been thinking about a Tin Lizzy a good bit lately.
    Nice pile.

Catfish are traditional. They have been around since waaaaaay before 1965. I’m looking forward to seeing this project.

    Hey @fatassbuick
    First of all welcome back.
That is a great looking load of vintage metal you have posted.

And now for a bit of selected, semi smart-assed questions, that you may relate to, per the question about the catfish.

    5. It is true that the favorite lunch of marine Biologist's, is a peanut butter and jelly-fish sandwich?
    6. Is it true that Marine Biologist's are paid with sand dollars?

    Everyone's results may vary greatly!

Indeed, the H.A.M.B. has evolved, to a certain extent!

Glad to see another brought back to the HAMB fold.
The general feel is mellower, there are just as many basic questions and just as many esoteric ones.

Welcome back. There is also now a forum where you can post about the truck your T is in.

    ANYways..zipties and shit
This is honestly less rusty than the 1986 truck that brought it home. Ok...just as rusty.
More to come, as we always say...
Thanks everyone. Feels good to be back after about 19 years, more or less.

I think I got one of those, but I don't know one from the other so I got one of each...I think they are called model T's or A's or something like that, never did get my mac's catalog to tell me what I got...

For a multitude of reasons chicken's coupe is one of my favorite race cars.

I hope yours turns out as good.

@chicken , you could post that picture over in the Love For T Bucket thread, even if it's your competitor.

Welp, that turned into quite an adventure for 10 days. So, as most of you know, NO ONE says "alright, here's my ONE BIG DEAL I'm working on for my first traditional hot rod in about 20 years." Well, maybe some do, but not if you have low attention span, and don't really have ONE hot rod you want, but LOTS of hot rods (I was a Matchbox/Hotwheels/Lesney in the dirt kid, and still expect that volume and variety in real life, today). Through a series of trades, gentle coercing of my lovely and talented wife, a riveting phone call from someone already mentioned, whose name rhymes with "Plucky", and my neighbor with a trailer taking a day off, I ended up with more than I bargained for.

I'm not gonna get into the '17 Dodge Bros phaeton turned to roadster body with '52 Stude axles and a 240 Ford I6 I traded for two days after picking up the rusty '26 T body, and I'm only gonna touch briefly on the Model A drivetrain, but I got, for me anyways, a different passion altogether.

One of the coolest cars I've ever had the opportunity to own is the last one I picked up. I'm so stoked to do a pre war banger, almost a day 2 style with it, that I'm dying to get my resources straightened back out to start working on it. This is my keeper.

I realize this is nothing compared to a lot of die hard hot rodders, with crazy rare speed parts and a century of race heritage with their cars, but this one seems truly special to me. We'll see. Enough rambling...introducing "Eleanor", because my wife's grandmother, Eleanor, was born in '26, and she was also a hardass survivor. She died a couple of years ago. I swear to you, her blue eyes stared into your soul.
