    Hello All,
Picked up this '51 a few weeks ago. Understand that comparatively, not too many of these went into production. I'm not sure how many of the Mercury parts match but I'm having a tough time finding missing items.

Does anyone have a source, company, wrecking yard, neighbor, etc where a guy could find a few items?
I've picked up some on eBay and keep scouring. Just thought I'd reach out to the community to see if anyone could provide some leads. Not looking for a lot but there doesn't seem to be a lot out there.

    Thanks!

  2. Well drat, I had a ‘49 EL Coupe a while back but I sold it. However, if you’re looking for parts you might look into the Lincoln Continental Owners Club. They have an annual newsletter which has a plethora of parts for your car.

Nothing Mercury fits the Cosmo, and actually very little of the small series Lincoln stuff fits the Cosmo either. There's one of those in a local junkyard to me, but I'm in Wisconsin. A parts car would do you a lot of good, or at least, the location of one in a yard that sells parts.

I'm listening! Got a phone number?? lol.
I was scoping out a '50 Mercury last night and I noticed some of the items are similar but not a lot.
One item I'm having trouble locating is the lower trunk striker.
It was a beautiful sight bringing it home down the interstate - the faster we went, the farther the deck lid opened. As we slowed down - it closed. Got some good reactions.

Listing what you need is a good place to start.

This trunk striker has been eluding me of all things. Including a glove box latch..
Think someone was scapping this car out or going to do something with it but never finished.
I'll post a WTB in the classifieds as well.
