Today I filled the last holes behind the window and sorted out one of the skirts. They are definitely not for a 1937 sedan the latch was the wrong angle and needed to be extended. It also needed more contour on the rear so I cut the flange off gave it a few shrinks re shaped the flange and welded it back in. PXL_20241027_225200036.MP.jpg

Chop is mostly finished up really just the garnish moldings left and a bit of cleanup left. I have 41 gas filler door I'm going to fit and a passenger rear fender bottom patch that will be all for this round of sheet metal. Next up will be chassis work stay tuned ! I was worried it would have too much squareness at the back corner of the roof, but you seem to have whittled it down and given it a nice flow.

Moved on to the chassis for now, Pretty standard style c notch. The frame will get blasted/painted at a later date when the body gets painted . Wishbones will need a massage to clear the frame as well as some floor mods to clear the torque tube. Stay tuned . The stance is looking great. What did you use to lift the body off?

Haven't made up my mind on bumps since I want to use it as a push car I'm not sure if I want to use bumpers that are valuable lol

I have the brake and fuel lines run had to put the body back on due to space constraints temporarily a bit more sheet metal today. I reshaped and tacked the deluxe filler door in stock 37 location. Still not sure on what tail lights yet might end up using stock for this year PXL_20250216_020614476.MP.jpg

    Wow this looks killer!

  17. I'm liking what I'm seeing!

Have you chopped something before? You make it look so easy, and I know it's not easy. I would really like to build an early custom like this, but I'm not confident in my skills. I can handle it mechanically, but that chop is intimidating.

Man @Dan Hay he really nailed it didn’t he? The drip around down the new sail panel around to the back line/curve is on the money.

really digging the skirted sedan mild customs
    lately.

Not a chop on anything round model as, dragster body parts and such. I would say look at as many chops in progress as you can and learn as much as you can about the process and go for it !

Fit up and semi finished, I need to patch the passenger rear fender where it meets the running board then on to the floor, at the current ride high the diff and torque tube is on the floor... Duece days is coming up quick I think the paint will be air drying on the way there lol
