Projects BENNETTS ‘Midnight Special’ speedster

Well and truly! The next generation. He’s already got more future projects than myself!

 

Pistons arrived! Time to get this motor back in between making a floor for the hemi coupe.

 

Motor is back together. Assembled and sitting back in its happy place. Tomorrow it will get fluids and start up. Lots more too come.

 

Cooling system in. Small (what seems to be) a noisy lifter and a clutch that needs adjustment. Drive tomorrow fingers crossed.

The location was an early WWll airstrip. Josh took some great shots I’ll post tomorrow for getting it ready to sell but here’s a couple shots.

Well the deal is done and she’s off across the pond to its new home in Louisiana in less than 24 hours! Last minute details and brake adjustments gave me the perfect opportunity to try on a different pair of shoes from a future project. I think it’s my favourite look so far..

Which is your new project? I see a lot of activity on your Youtube channel but mostly for other's cars.

The wheels will be going on the split window ‘Radial Flyer’ something different.


Customers are priority unfortunately but I want to start back on my roadster before the new year and get it running for February. Big task but doable. Dad’s over for a couple months and to take him for a drive would be worth all the late nights.
