Event Coverage Dawsonville Georgia Moonshine festival

We had beautiful weather today, and lots of cool rides. Drove the Willys 80 miles each way. Post up more if you’ve got ‘em!

It's been years since I've been but still as cool as ever.

 

Rolled down in the ‘37. Huge event for sure! All the ‘40s had their own spot, as was a separate row for the ‘57 Fairlanes. Here’s a sampling:

 

Just one more thing I love about the South. People, Cars, and Food!

 

The Moonshine Festival has changed a lot over the years. Sometimes people get cranky with it getting bigger, and moving away from the square, and including more things like the craft fair. But it is directly responsible for me falling in love with the 1940 Ford, so it will always be a special thing for me.

It was our first time at the Moonshine Festival. We really enjoyed it. There was a real family atmosphere, the weather was great and there were a bunch of "crafts" vendors for the ladies to have something to look at. Curiously, I didn't see anyone selling or drinking moonshine! Anyway, sorry I skipped the '40 Ford contingent (there was a bunch). Taking pics was tricky with the number of people there.
