In the classified ads in the Rocky Mountain news in the spring of 1984, there was an ad for a 1969 BOSS 429, BASKET CASE, COMPLETE, $1,000

I believe Jim Morrisons 67 Shelby was Brittney Blue or much darker than the one above.

Back in '88 when "chrome modgies" and T/A radials were in vogue

The car was resprayed with an Aussie XB Falcon GT colour "Yellow Blaze" and it really popped.

 

Here is mine, a '68 coupe,

converted to 5 speed with 3.55:1
The 289 Engine new rebuilt with machined Windsor Junior heads, K-Code camshaft, Solid Lifters, 9.5:1 compression, finely balanced crankshaft. A beautiful touring car.
