    Howdy all,
I am in the process of converting a LaSalle transmission to closed driveline with a ‘42-48 Ford rear mount.
    On to my question.
Are there any differences in U-Joints from ‘37-48?
Are there any differences in torque tube & rear mount coupling fit ‘37-48?
For instance, can I fit a ‘40 torque tube to a ‘42-48 rear mount? Is the “ball and socket” of the coupling the same dimensionally? If not, what years jive with one another?

'28-'48 is the same ujoint. the bell on the torque tube is the same also although the clam shells are 4 bolt vs 6 bolt.

They will all fit up at the trans.
