    Hello,

It took me quite some time to get the artwork finished for one of my favorite streamlined FED race cars. The lines were there, I just could not get them to work as planned.
    upload_2024-10-30_3-54-25.png
After many tries, changes, and erasures, I was able to come up with something that looks fairly like the photo and real build. The original from far off in most photos looks like yellow with maroon flames of some kind. It was hard to detail each flame with the design in the drawings.

Finally, a Road Kings Club event wins with several other club members also winning their classes.

Then this pops up as a new edition to the Road Kings Club events in So Cal.

    Note2:

Upon further research, another later model version or a modification of the original body/chassis was seen in random photos from So Cal.

Version two of Daddy's Auto Body dragster:

This time with an Ivo stroker motor (including the famous Tommy Ivo, up swept individual header pipes...) in Daddy’s Auto Body FED, and some new colors... YRMV

By early 1959, the progression had already started with the famous single Buick motor fuel injected FED that won a ton of elimination trophies at all So Cal dragstrips…

Wonder what he was using as silicone tire shine hadn't been invented yet. I used to use black boot polish on my tires before a show.

It’s a Sears parking lot. I see Bruce Gieslers chopped long bed GMC parked and he built it in the 50’s. I don’t see any 60’s cars….
