In my teens I had that same ambition, there was a guy running around the cruise with a BBC in one of them.
I thought “wow”.
Then my older friends clued me in on what would be needed, etc.

See, my sister had a 200 dollar version of the same car, dead engine, etc. I thought “how tough could this be”?

Ya, my dad stepped hard on the idea, not to mention my lack of skills and $$ to even pull it off!

 

Sure is easy to get off topic and on the mods bad side when we are having "fun".

The good thing is everyone knows LLoyd is building his wagon and it will be top shelf stuff. The best part is reaffirming that there is more than one flavor of ice-cream and while all of us have differing tastes, in the end we can all agree ice-cream, much like cars, is good. Now get back to the Rocky Road LLoyd.

I always get a kick out of anything that Lloyd is associated with, or has said, or has posted, or any of his projects.
Since I am the son of true "Okies", I have a soft spot in my heart, for those unique people from the South, such as the region that Lloyd is from.
I figured this particular page in this thread, is the right place to add a little appreciation, for the amazing "Lloyd".

O = OUTRAGEOUS
Y = YEOMANLY
D = DETERMINED

I had to go to the dictionary to find the proper word that started with the letter "Y", and there isn't a lot of words that are applicable, and I knew that a lot of the H.A.M.B. Universe would not take the time to go look that word up, so I did it for you all, and I think you will agree with the underlined definitions.



Besides all that, the man is a Fire Fighter, and you have to really appreciate and understand, just what it takes to be a Fire Fighter.

At the risk of ''going facebook'' - Lloyd's cool. We texted a few days ago about verboten political stuff.

 

Steve is correct, I talked to Lloyd on the telephone on Sunday.

 

I'm guessing he's not watching Jeopardy and crocheting a sweater!

 

Lloyd is a strange bird, he is probably working on a secret off topic project,not to mention he has a full time job at the fire dept and plays in a band also, Lloyd is a busy man. HRP

 

I probably would have gone for Y=Yucky

 

It just isn't the same here on the HAMB without Lloyd adding his idle musings, as well as some knowledge, on so many threads!
