Shorty would sometimes go on the road to show his truck in surrounding states, like Colorado. He had a wall full of trophies and a magazine showing his King Bee in 1976 in Oklahoma. He also told me, "When you let it out of the shoot, you better be awake and have both hands on the wheel or she'll turn around in the road with you!" This is not a drag race truck, it's a show truck that gets a lot of attention at shows!
