For comparison, my yellow one was a 4 inch cut, and I took 3 1/2" out of my red 5W. Both of these had a A-pillars leaned back as opposed to stretching the roof. Pair of Deuces.jpg

Posted back in 2016. She is registered and licensed, but not finished. Probably will never be complete

I have been collecting parts for a while for this coupe. It is put together with s****s and sedan parts, including Aussie 34 sedan rear roof parts. I’m not sure what the chop is, as I started with sedan doors. The rear axle is temporary hence the offset tyre in the wheel well. I think the chop is close to how I want it. att.JU4TzR-yiYRxHKWkIKiaK3HUY7H-ZmwJTZGE7v8aEKk.jpeg

An updated pic below, right before the car went to the paint shop. Hopefully I can add a painted pic before too long

    What beautiful craftsmanship.

  12. My late buddy (RIP Darin) owned this one for awhile. It was built in So Cal by maybe one of the Choppers, or Shifters guys, I think.

The car was built by Paul Cepeda, aka Custom Paul back in the early 2000's.

I don't normally like the 5W chopped that much, but this one looks pretty good. I think it could really benefit from some tire rake & maybe lift the rear suspension a tad if the tires don't do it completely.

Neal, I really want to see your car in person! I didn't know you had plans to paint it, I thought it was going to be bare metal forever!

  15. Thanks. My buddy sold it awhile ago. Don't know where it went, as I'm not in Nor CA anymore

  16. I agree, smaller front tires, and raise the rearend an inch or two.

  17. You guys with 5+ inch chops, what are you doing with the windshield frame to keep it together after cutting the bottom off? The block of steel is on the way to redrill and slide it back together.

And where are you locating your slide arms and pivots so the windshield locks closed?

And here is a pic of a 32 Fiver at the Abbottsford BC Airport Drags in the early 50s. We are looking for info on it and more pictures.

    Cheers eh!

Are you sure that's a picture...? when I enlarge it, it looks more like a watercolor painting!

Sorry, no info on the WS for you. My coupe is not chopped.

  19. 3Blap,
The original picture I have is a screenshot from an old 8mm movie. I tried to unblur it in my phone app.
    This is the original screenshot.
I am looking for more pics and info of it.

Your newer one looks considerably better! I was just giving you ****... even though I liked the artwork, it was hard to tell what was going on! I can't even tell if that's a 5W or 3W, to be honest!
