I’m building an 8ba using the Scat stroker kit. My main journals all measure 4.998. After I install my main bearings, torque and measure, I’m coming up with .003 - .0035 bearing clearance. The block and caps seem to be in good shape . I know, back when, .002 bearings were a common thing but seem to be as rare as hens teeth now. I’ve also considered using shim stock to tighten my clearances . Anybody have any ideas or opinions on the best move forward?
