well unfortunatly NOBODY MAKES them - so keep hunting and be preparred to bend over when you do find one.

    Howell's makes door skins

WolfSteel makes door skins, door bottoms, and door tops (the bolt in window stop thing)

Walden Speed shop makes door skins - very pricey but quality is next to none.

How far backwards are we talking about bending?

Are these things seriously like impossible to find?!

Expect to pay $750 or more for a good one.

3 years ago my buddy paid $600 to have one shipped to the East Coast from Cali - and the bottom was still all rotted on it, and it had no latches or window regulators

You're probably better off trying to find a whole cab and parting out what you don't need or selling the rest of your parts.

I had no idea they were so hard to find.

I'm glad I have one for my truck.

Now that I think about it, the parts cab I have is missing the driver side door.

Did farmers just scrap the doors? Accidents? Why so rare?

  9. the expanation i've heard for missing driver side doors on pickup cabs was that farmers took them off so they had easy access while doing their farmwork.....they didn't have to open and close the doors

somwhere on this planet there has to be a HUGE pile of doors , almost avery cab you see is missing one or both....right along side that there also must be a big pile of model A ford decklids

  10. I'm picking up a '35 Ford in November and the rancher told me that he eventually did that to all his trucks after he no longer used them to go to town, and yes the '35 is missing its drivers door. I've looked in the barns/buildings and it hasn't turned up but he said it came off in the 60's and he ownsa big spread so who knows.

I just checked their site. Didn't see anything listed for 32-34. Only Model A.
    Do they have them available?

i know this is an old post --- was hopeing there were more options available by now??

ill take a pair of nice rubbermaid/fiberglass doors for a 32-4 pickup ill even take a whole unchopped 33-4 cab made from recycled milk cartons.

-------- any new door deals out there ???????????????????????

  16. There are no options. Most I've seen are on ebay. They regularly bring about $800. I bought a rusty cab for alot of money. I felt bad at the time but knew it would probably get worse. I don't feel quite as bad now.

I drove to Ashland, Ky from MI for a savable passenger door. Boy did I get fu**ed. It wasn't even worth throwing in the back of the truck for the ride home. You could hold the top of the window frame and the rest would shake like a dish rag. Oh well got outta the house for the weekend.

I just got done wheeling a new skin and tacking it up on one today. the cab we found was perfect but the doors were BEAT TO HELL! the hinges were gas welded to the skin and 1/4" reinforcing plates in the jambs, and warped all over! had to relief cut the thing all over the place to get it to fit correctly and line up to the cab. you will be lucky to if some other doors you find actually come close to fitting correctly!! if i ever get one i will be damn picky that the doors fit NICE!!

I just got done bringing back a driver's door from the brink of death..no..make that from the grave. The amount of time I spent was ridiculous. My passenger door was not too bad..just needed the bottom & lower two inches. Even the doors selling for $1,000 need some work. Given all of this, why isn't anybody in the industry willing to repop the things & make a pile of money? These little truck doors are certainly no more complex than other vehicle doors that are being reproduced (& selling for $400-$500).

I feel very fortunate that the 32 cab we bought for my wifes truck came with 4 doors. All of them hve a problem and all in different places but all savable none the less (no dish rags). I wish I could help but I do not want to let loose of any of them until we are sure of the two we are going to use.

I do see doors on ebay occasionally. You would think that if Brookville could make a whole 3W including doors they would see the need for the PU doors especially since one door will cover 3 years of pick ups.

    Good luck!

I bought mine from Wolf steel.
.....there were good pieces....and needed a bit of "tuning".... but worked out just fine.
I needed 2 door skins,2 cab corners and 2 cowls...all from the belt line down.
A drivers door is the hardest to find. why?.... farmers used to chuck 'em to get in and out easier.
At the timeabout 5 years ago..I paid $600 for all the items listed.

I would buy an entire cab with doors and fix the bottoms.....and yea...they will need repair.

    good luck!
