I am looking for someone, in the Salisbury, Maryland area, to do General Maintenance on a 1941 Ford. Oil changes, Lubrication, Tire checks, Prep for winter storage, Prep for Summer driving, maybe occasional clean up. I LOVE the car, just can't do the work. Independent garage, an old car enthusiast, back yard mechanic, or someone who just likes to work on old cars and is willing to help out a new friend! The car is a Preservation Original, but would even consider a "Sympathetic Street Rodder". If interested or you know someone who might help, REPLY TO: Don THANKS!
Hi Scott, I still haven't found anyone to help out on some repairs on the 1941 Woody. The car is now on it's way back to Salisbury and will be for sale. The shop that had it got it running, by installing a distributor from another car, but could not make it run with the one that was on the car when they got it. Really need help from someone that is familiar with the flathead engines. This car ran excellent when I sold it to the present owner in 2016 or 2017 She ran it for the first summer then parked it in her garage where it sat until this Spring. I am now 87 years old and live in York, PA. Sure wish I was younger, lived closer, and had a way to work on it. I feel certain hat the right person could have it running in a few hours. Thanks for your earlier replies. Hope you can help! Don (I haven't figured out how to send a private message but if you know how, send me one and I can reply with some more direct information.)
Hello, Sorry to hear that. Sounds like a nice project for someone. Let me know if you need help with selling it to the right person. I think I can help. 410-370-2935 Swmyers73@comcast.net Thanks Scott
