Technical Trunk mounted A/C in a 40! Anybody done it?

    Someone already said it but the cool air blowing on you from dash vents is a huge part of the cooling you feel form AC. Imagine an airliner without vents above you, the cabin would still be air conditioned but it is going to take a long time to feel it and everyone gets the same distribution.

    I have air in my truck, even with a small cab and air turned up, it was still hot due to setting right next to the side glass. I tinted the windows which made a drastic improvement in how the cab cools off. Insulation and stopping air leaks is a must, no matter what system you go with. Be sure your engine cooling is right, the added heat from the condenser will over heat a weak system.
