I am working on a 3w 34 and would like a look at what your steel conversion from wood looks like. I have the original wood over the doors but do not have good b pillar wood or the rear door jamb caps either. I have checked out SARs amazing parts and heard about Don Smart's work on here but before I go that route I would like to see some steel conversion work. Thx.

I made steel pillars for my avatar 34 3W. Here are some in progress pics.
I used the wood pillars to get the proper angel and profile. You will need the door jam caps to make it look right 100_1369.JPG 100_1387 - Copy.JPG 100_1372 (1).JPG 100_1371 (1).JPG

Jason Albano is doing this work. im not taking any credit, but this is an excellent way to do the B pillars and have adjustability on the doors. and NO, he is not taking any work, he is a one man shop, I already asked... good luck with your project.

I agree, the welds and how he planed countersinking the hinges with a back plate for full adjustability was genius. Even the shape of the B pillars contour sharp and concise to the body lines of the doors vertically.

Iv seen others attempt this in varying degrees, but your approach and final design is simplistic and easy to follow.
The 1st one I am going to attempt this on is a friend's 31 pickup truck.
    Thanks for the inspiration
