I want an RPM limiter to use while line lock is on. Accell dual point distributor and coil. Max RPM is limited by the Mallory tach so I need for launch between 4k and 5k RPM. Looking at:
    PerTronix Digital Rev Limiters 600

From Summit, Thoughts? Not sure if I will be able to use the tach drive in the Pertronix and still have the high rpm limit in the tach, looking for tach paper work.

    Part Number: PNX-600

I would check Accell (Holley) to see if they have a stand alone that would work with your current set up. I was unable to find one, but didn't call them.
    1. Pertronix has been panned here for poor longevity and slow tech help.
    2. Having 2 makers involved in a single system will lead to "I'm with Stupid" finger pointing if/when a problem is encountered.
    3. Their website shows it to be out of stock. Whoever you are considering purchase from may have it, but I wonder if it's being phased out.

The info touts the dials and internal filters many times, but never mentions if it is a soft touch or abrupt cut off. The return policy is pretty limited (90 days) and mentions all shipping and tax is not covered (okay) and it MAY be subject to restocking (???).
I loved my old limiting tach, but it seems they are no longer sold. Same with Mallory
ADJUSTABLE PROPORTIONAL RPM LIMITER PART NOS. 642, 643, AND 644 which all seem to only have instructions online, no units for sale. Example:

I don't have a great answer for you or current market product experience, but it seems this is going to be a tough one. I'd lean toward trying to find an NOS Mallory mentioned before, or maybe a second tach with limiter that is triggered by the line lock. It seems this is an outdated tech with all the modern distributorless stuff and the market doesn't support them still being made and sold.
I did find one small maker of dual rev limiters, but it's for magnetos, not points distributors and coils.

MSD has this for 110 but again, 2 different makers.

dynatech does Harley ignitions, doesn't seem to do car ignition.

I thought valve float was the traditional rev limiter! ;)

A 2-step is just another Rev Counting device , that can be connected parallel with any Tach, Shift light, RPM switches.
You can use any RPM switch , but use a momentary switch button in-series between the coil - and the RPM switch [green wire]

I just made an adjustable RPM limiter for a Kohler V twin. [Kohler's have wasted spark so there is the same number of pulses on a V-twin as a 4 cylinder]
I used a cheap Chinesium shift light and pulled the light bulb out and connected up a relay that grounds the magneto coils

I have an MSD-6AL in all my cars, but found out after converting a new stock points distributor to Accel electronic that Accel isn't compatible with my MSD-6Al, so had to swap back to points in order to use my MSD box and rev limiter.

First thing that I looked for was something in MSD, the 8732 caught my eye but then looking at the specs it says I need [required!] a MSD 6AL box 6425. I'd do the 6AL box if I didn't have to lose the Mallory tach, don't know if I can just turn the shift light and limiter functions off. Dug through one car note book, didn't find Mallory specs [pn 657]. I'll do the other car note book tomorrow. I looked online and found the wiring diagram [!], one wire from coil, I was hoping for multiple; ie something I could disconnect. But didn't find any specs. Thank you.

^^Above^^ Seems like an rpm on/off switch by the operation/adjusting manual? I used MSD rpm switches to shift the auto trans I built for my pulling tractor, worked great.
