Discussion in 'Off Topic Hot Rods & Customs' started by UNSHINED 2, May 6, 2024.

  1. I will have to try and dig one out, I know I only have a few very old pictures. Was 327 sbc, 671 blower, tilt front end, 10 point cadge. N-50 tires hanging out back, cragar SS wheels. M-22 rock crusher 4 speed. 456 gears. She was a hand full for a dumb , smart ass ,crazy kid that I was. Lots of street racing for $$ .

  5. Yes. We did not really know what we were doing, bolted it on and it worked. I used to blow stuff up on occasion, but always managed to fix it.

  15. This is the only picture of my 69 Nova I have found so far, very old as I was 17 when this was taken. N-50 tires in back, 60 series in front, tilt front end, 327 sbc, 671 blower, 660 center squirt carbs, 4-56 gears, Muncie m-22 trans. and a 10 point roll cadge. I miss her. I owned this beast from 17 years old till I was 35 , and then sold as a roller. WIN_20241029_17_17_59_Pro.jpg

Built this '40/'37 Ford pickup back in the early '90s.
    I really wanted a '40 Willys...but couldn't find one. 0.30.jpg

Looked kinda odd, so I chopped it.

  22. I agree. The pick up looks like a scrappy old hot rod. I am a fan!

Thanks guys. It was a FUN little hot rod.

Started out as a rough $100 hedge row find.

Frame was shot so I used a '68 Datsun pickup frame (with torsion bar front suspension).

302/C4, 9" rear end (pre flames).

As a hardcore hot rodder (pre '48 stuff) and a hardcore Ford guy...in retrospect, I'm kinda embarrassed that I built this:eek:.

    Anyway, early 2000's I had this '86 S-10 and I stuck a 350/350 in it.
    0.33.jpg

Over the next 3 or so years, I kept throwing time and $ at it...tubbed it and it morphed into this.

I absolutely love everything about this car. This era of muscle cars brings back so many memories. Although my Dad had a 32 ford and we built 28-40 ford hot rods. This is the kind of car I remember my older cousins having. Jacked up 60's GM Muscle cars with wild paint, Fender flares and side pipes and dual carb tunnel rams poking through the hood. up until just a few years ago there was still a log chain embedded in the old tree where many engines were pulled and replaced in my grandmothers driveway. thanks for posting
