Sourced a crunched up 36 spare tire ring (i know where theres about 5 more in better shape if anyones looking!) The uncrunched part happened to be exactly what i needed for my front fenders!

I cut off the carnage first then split the difference.

I set it on a 6.00x16 which is a bit larger than im running on the front of of the 33 just to see how itd look... 20220907_144737.jpg 20220907_144732.jpg 20220907_144812.jpg
Im happy! Will make mounts, 2 per side that bolt to the existing backing plate bolts

Out of 5 doors (1 is still on the car) I suppose I am lucky that 1 still had a bottom on it! 20221019_133345.jpg Given how rare these doors are, I think I am going to repair all of them. Might save someone elses project. So I made a template, will cut patches and install em after I fix the inner structures. 20221019_135112.jpg 20221019_135101.jpg

The doors I gave you are from a truck. They're about an inch taller than coupe doors.

Same as sedan I believe. Also a different window profile. I wont change that aspect of the doors I dont end up using. I will of course have to chop the doors I end up using regardless

Paused on the doors for a cpl days and started tackling the interior garnish mouldings. I only have one door piece and it is rough! So I decided to make a jack for hammering out patches as well as potentially making replacements. 20221023_100138.jpg 20221023_100140.jpg I am relatively happy with the results! 20221023_100156.jpg 20221023_101813.jpg 20221023_102242.jpg
Its not quite perfect but with a skim coat of some seal skin, should look pretty good!

I spose I should update this build thread a little. I started to realize something as I was going on this 33. I was a bit rusty....pun intended. I decided to hone my skills a bit and shake the cobwebs off on my custom roadster. That car for those of you unfamiliar is a significant custom and is about to get its drivetrain. Hopefully by springtime itll be getting paint! When that happens, the 33 will get wheeled into the shop and real daily progress will begin! This car has such a special place for me and I wanted to make sure I do it justice. I am even looking at taking a handful more welding and fab classes. May even take a tig class. Anyway, not a dead thread and I still have the car. I also started a youtube channel and once thats really going strong this car will be built and documented on there

Hey Oliver, how wide is your original seat? I’d doubt cars and pickups of ge same era were the same width, but I have the back and bottom from my ‘32 Dodge PU. If it matched, shipping cost to you. Just bare frame and springs is all that’s there. Would be the weekend before I have time to measure mine.

Doubt it was anything but local, but when I was a young, there was a lunchtime kids'-program called "Lunch w/Casey (Jones)". Theme was trainhouse, Casey the "engineer", etc. Some local TV talent, cheesy set made out of watercolored cardboard, but was amusing & had good cartoons... Anyways, other than the clowning-around Casey, his sidekick was Roundhose Rodney. Tried to get kids excited about health & fitness, but most loved his hat. Which he once showed how to make it. A bowler-type or fedora, wet it w/water, & stuff a football into it, let dry, & presto: one Roundhouse Rodney hat.
The tall dunce-cone hats of BDR always seemed a little too tall to me, to hold their shape, but I never tried either of the two.
    Marcus...
