Technical 1939 Gear Set Id

    I have a set of gears that’s in a 78-7006 case. Only have a single synchronizer and not a match for anything on line

    shift it into neutral? it's in high gear right now. This is the late 30s transmission, according to van pelt

    Squirrel is correct…..it’s a typical 1939 style gearset with the late type synchro assembly. The one in the first photo is shifted into high gear. The one in the second photo is in the neutral position. It’s almost impossible to determine which ratio gearset is there (from the photo) but that can be determined by counting the gear teeth.
